Weekend Class Particulars

  • Our birth ed classes are casual, intimate, and designed to explore all of the things you'd expect, but we also will work with your personal needs and concerns. Classes are held on the second floor of the Men as Peacemakers space in downtown Duluth. It is handicapped-accessible. We share potluck lunches both days, and we'll provide snacks, juice, coffee, silverware/plates. Expect to leave with a new circle of friends, a list of great resources, and a new readiness for meeting your child and expanding your world.

  • When should you sign up for a class? We love first trimester students, which gives you plenty of time to modify or realign your plans. For many people, however, waiting until later--nausea and exhaustion recedes for most people by 15 weeks or so--is best. Even if you're in the last weeks of pregnancy, what you learn will be invaluable. In short, we're happy to see you anytime.

  • Cost and payment: The weekend class is $275 per family. When you sign up for a class, Jana or Amanda will be in touch with more information. We accept cash, checks, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. Payment is due on the first day of class.

  • These are not classes for the whole family--kids would not find this suitable. If you would like to schedule a home class for the entire family, or you are on bedrest, please reach out to see if we can make something work for you.

  • All classes run from 10am-4pm. We try to be prompt, and will end on time.
